Exemplar Response to Literature

      As you know, we have been working extensively on responding to literature. We have concentrated on writing essays that answer all components of the question. Check out this amazing student! She was able to write an excellent topic sentence, "The actions of Frederick Douglass helped Ruby and students like her by..." This shows that she is able to introduce her topic. She also included many pieces of evidence and sighted which lines she got her evidence from. Finally, she wrapped up her text with a conclusion sentence, "Those are the rights to be treated equally a few months before."
