Cromwell Friends and Family,

Report cards go home this Wednesday, October 28, 2015. Please remember to sign them and return them to school on Thursday. We have successfully skated through the first nine weeks of school and ready to buckle down to more learning in the second nine weeks.

This Thursday is Cromwell's Annual Fall Family Reading Night from 5:30pm to 7pm. Please take time to come out and learn even more tips on helping your student become a star reader and learner. You and your student may come dressed up as your favorite storybook character.

This week is Red Ribbon Week; the initiative to prevent the use of drugs amongst children and teens. At Cromwell, we will have a different theme everyday to support this initiative. Below are age-appropriate activities and resources that you can use to start the conversation with your child about the dangerous effects of drugs and alcohol.

Make a drug free pact with your friends. Promise to hold each other accountable to it.

Write a paragraph about the importance of Red Ribbon Week and submit it to Miss Brown to be featured in a blog post. 

Print out your own template and decorate it with reasons why your family chooses to be drug-free

Have your student write a story about someone who said no to drugs and alcohol
